Abstract
A cross-linkable polymeric casting composition includes an effective amount of an acrylic or methacrylic di- or polythiol monomer of the formula (1) wherein p is an integer of 0 or 1, M or M′ are each spacer groups selected from one or more of the following formulae (i), (ii) wherein m is an integer of 0 or 1 and n is an integer of 0 to 3, with the proviso that m and n are not both equal to zero, R,R,, R,and R,, which may be the same or different, are selected from hydrogen, alkyl or substituted alkyl of 1 to 10 carbon atoms, alkoxy or substituted alkoxy of 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or R,or R,is (iii) and optionally a polymerisable comonomer.
