Abstract
Essentially spherical silica-based granular particulates, whether having a mean particle size of at least 300 &mgr;m and a density of from 0.15 to 0.32, or a mean particle size of from 80 &mgr;m to 400 &mgr;m and a density of at least 0.32, are well adapted as reinforcing filler material for a variety of elastomeric matrices, e.g., rubber.
