Abstract
A rotor for the treatment of a liquid such as molten metal by the addition of gas and/or particulate material. The rotor includes a hollow rotation body (,) with openings (,) in the base and side. The rotor is mounted on a shaft (,) and driven via the shaft by a drive unit and is designed to be lifted out of and lowered into the liquid.
