Abstract
Twin roll caster for casting metal strip. Metal is delivered through a distributor (,) and delivery nozzle (,) between a pair of casting rolls (,) to form a casting pool (,) supported on rolls (,) and confined by end plates (,). Rolls (,) are rotated to deliver cast strip downwardly from the nip between them. Rolls (,) are mounted on carriers (,) moveable to allow rolls (,) to move bodily toward and away from one another.
