Abstract

The invention features a method for identifying compositions which modulate the activity of a Na.sup.+ -dependent nucleoside transport polypeptide. This invention also features isolated DNA encoding the transport polypeptide, a method for recombinantly producing the transport polypeptide, antibodies which specifically bind to the polypeptide and polynucleotide sequences which specifically hybridize to polynucleotide encoding the transport polypeptide.
