Abstract
A photosensitive colored composition for a color filter is described, which comprises (A) a pigment, (B) a binding resin, (C) a radiation-sensitive compound, and (D) a solvent, wherein (A) a pigment contains a pigment having an average particle size of from 0.01 to 0.2 .mu.m represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Y represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a carbamoyl group, an alkylcarbamoyl group, an arylcarbamoyl group, or an alkoxycarbonyl group; and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be the same or different, each represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, or a carbocyclic or heterocyclic aromatic residue.
