Abstract

The present invention relates to kits and films formed from the kits which are useful as cosmetic or therapeutic agents, as well as methods of their use. The films and kits herein are particularly useful as polishes for mammalian nails. More particularly, the present invention relates to kits and films which, when applied to mammalian nails exhibit long wear. When applied to mammalian nails, the present kits provide films exhibiting Peak Adhesive Strengths of greater than about 15 g/mm and exhibiting a Toughness Value of greater than about 1.2 MPa or a Wear Value of greater than about 1000 (MPa).sup.2. The present invention further relates to methods of coating mammalian nails with kits and films formed from the kits which exhibit Peak Adhesive Strengths of greater than about 15 g/mm and exhibit Toughness Values of greater than about 1.2 MPa or Wear Values of greater than about 1000 (MPa).sup.2.
