Abstract

An isothermal transcription based amplification assay for the detection or quantification of chemokine RNA uses primers and probes for sequences within the gene for RANTES, MIP-l.alpha. and MIP-1 .beta.. The quantitative system uses an internal control Q of a mutant version of each gene. Target specific primers and probes are also disclosed.
