Abstract
A cylinder assembly is provided for transferring foil onto a substrate. A cylinder assembly includes a generally cylindrical core having an outer surface. The outer surface of the core includes a plurality of magnet receiving depressions therein. Magnets formed from rare earth metals are secured within corresponding depressions in the outer surface of the core. A die plate is positioned about the outer surface of the core. A heating structure heats the outer surface of the die plate to a temperature less than 475.degree. F.
