Abstract

A catalyst for olefin polymerization comprising: (A) a solid catalyst component comprising a titanium compound, a magnesium compound, and a halogen compound; (B) an organoaluminum compound; (C) a first organosilicon compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represent a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 may be the same or different; and (D) a second organosilicon compound represented by formula (II): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.5 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and R.sup.6, R.sup.7, and R.sup.8, which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom.
