Abstract
Oligonucleotide comprising a nucleotide base having the formula: ##STR1## wherein B is a nucleotide base or hydrogen; R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, an alkyl group containing between 2 and 10 carbon atoms inclusive, an amine, an amino acid, and a peptide containing between 2 and 5 amino acids inclusive; and the zigzag lines are independently hydrogen or a bond.
