Abstract
An ink jet print head can be formed by an anodic bonding process. In order to bond a vibrating plate to a head base, a glass surface is bonded to a conductive surface of an electrically conductive material through anodic bonding. One of the vibrating plate or the head base can be formed of glass and the other of an electrically conductive material in order to form the bond. Alternatively, a glass layer an electrically conductive layer can be formed on each of the pieces, which can then be bonded. Thus, by using appropriate layers, the head base and vibrating plate can be formed of plastic, glass or an electrically conductive material.
