Abstract
The inventive Langmuir-Blodgett film is made of an amphiphilic organic carboxylic acid, such as a long chain fatty acid, and a tetrathiafulvalene derivative having no long chain alkyl group. For example, the long chain fatty acid comprises behenic acid, and the tetrathiafulvalene derivative comprises 4,5-ethylenedioxy-4',5'-ethylenedithio-tetrathiafulvalene or bis-ethylenedioxy-tetrathiafulvalene. Such Langmuir-Blodgett film comprises uniform and well-ordered layered structure, may be readily produced and may exhibit a high electrical conductivity.
