Abstract
The present invention discloses the compounds of general formula (1) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 are optionally substituted carbonyl and amide derivatives which are useful as inhibitors of retroviral proteases, and are effective in treating conditions characterized by unwanted activity of these enzymes, such as acquired immume deficiency syndrome.
