Abstract
An improved method for the prevention of the inactivation of natural killer (NK) cells and the enhanced activation of NK cells in the presence of monocytes using a combination of a natural killer cell activator and a compound effective to inhibit the production or release of intracellular hydrogen peroxide, or a hydrogen peroxide scavenger, is disclosed. The method is useful, for example, in the treatment of solid tumors, metastases and viral infection.
