A preferred application is in an electrostatographic process, comprising a system comprising (a) toner comprising a resin component having a glass transition temperature T.sub.gT ; and (b) a coated substrate comprising a coating having a glass transition temperature T.sub.gC, where the resin component has a characteristic chemical compatibility with the coating.
