Abstract
Disclosed are novel .alpha.-aryl-N-alkylnitrone compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds. The disclosed compositions are useful as therapeutics for preventing and/or treating neurodegenerative, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions in mammals and as analytical reagents for detecting free radicals.
