Abstract

A compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein a, V, X, Y, Z, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are as defined above, useful in (a) the treatment of myelosuppression including suppression associated with cancer chemotherapy as well as activation of the immune system for the treatment of cancer or (b) prevention and treatment of viral, fungal, bacterial and parasitic infectious diseases.
