An improvement is described in all purpose liquid cleaning compositions and microemulsion compositions which are especially effective in the removal of oily and greasy soil and contain an anionic detergent, a fatty acid, an amine oxide surfactant, an ethoxylated/butoxylated nonionic surfactant, a hydrocarbon ingredient, and water.
