Abstract

A thermographic or photothermographic element is disclosed having a surface coating containing a film-forming binder overlying at least one major surface of the element. An alkoxysilane containing at least one saturated hydrocarbon substituent having at least 8 carbon atoms is confined to the surface coating to act as a friction reducing compound.
