Abstract

A polyphenol composition is provided comprising trisphenol represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R is a methyl group, X is independently an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a halogen atom, and m and n are an integer of 0 to 2 which has an excellent balance between heat resistance and water resistance as a curing agent for epoxy resins.
