Abstract
The present invention relates to rubber compositions containing an elastomer containing olefinic unsaturation and a bis anil compound of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be the same or different and are independently selected from alkyls having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms and X is selected from the group consisting of H; OH; OAlk where Alk is an alkyl having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; COOH and; COO.sup.- M.sup.+ where M is a metal selected from the group consisting of Zn, Na, Ca and Mg; and y is 0 to 2.
