Abstract
A golf ball having between 1,000 and 2,500 dimples and a plurality of secondary depressions between said dimples on the exterior surface thereof. The secondary depressions are of spherical cross section and may be uniformly or randomly placed on the surface of the ball. The secondary depressions are of a depth from 0.001' to 0.005' and a diameter from 0.01' to 0.05'. The invention allows for decreased in-flight drag forces compared to a golf ball without the claimed secondary depressions.
