Abstract

A method for processing a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the method comprising the steps of: exposing the light-sensitive material; color developing the light-sensitive material; and desilvering the light-sensitive material, the desilvering step comprising processing the light-sensitive material with a desilvering processing solution containing at least one compound represented by formula (I) or a salt thereof: ##STR1## wherein Z represents --NR.sub.5 (R.sub.6) or --OR.sub.7, R represents an alkylene group, n represents 0 or 1, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, and R.sub.7 represents an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, provided that any two of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be combined with each other to form a ring, that the total carbon number of R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 is from 4 to 20 and that R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 may form a ring.
