Abstract

In an output method and output apparatus, one page of text data is divided into portions corresponding to bands of the print image of the page. Each portion of data is serially developed as a high-density image (600 dpi) on a bit map memory, and then is serially printed. One page of graphic data is, as a whole, developed as a low-density image (300 dpi) on the bit map memory. The low-density image is smoothed before output.
