Abstract
The present invention relates to the treatment of tumors with a novel water soluble trans-platinum coordination compound having the general structural formula [PtBX.sub.m (NR*.sub.3)] where B is a planar, heterocyclic ring containing at least one nitrogen atom, and a pendant chelating group; and X is an anionic ligand; and R* is hydrogen or a lower alkyl.
