Abstract

The present invention relates to hair conditioning compositions comprising from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of a monohydric, fatty alcohol having a melting point of 30.degree. C. or lower; from about 0.1% to about 10%, by weight of a polymer of ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, and mixtures thereof, having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of H, methyl, and mixtures thereof; and n has an average value of from about 2,000 to about 14,000; from 0% to about 20%, by weight, of a conditioning agent selected from the group consisting of cationic surfactants, cationic polymers, nonvolatile silicones, nonvolatile hydrocarbons, saturated C.sub.14 to C.sub.22 straight chain fatty alcohols, nonvolatile hydrocarbon esters, and mixtures thereof; and water.
