Abstract
The new active ingredient derivative compounds have the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same or different and are each an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group, Y is an unsubstituted or substituted alkylene group, R is an active ingredient group which, prior to ester formation, has at least one OH group and A.sup.- is an anion. A process for making the compounds of formula (I) is described. Hair treatment compositions containing these compounds and methods of treating hair with these hair treatment compositions are also described.
