Abstract
An artificial dental implant includes an implanting part which is to be implanted in bone tissue and a crown-fixing part to which a crown is to be fixed, which are manufactured using a metal powder injection molding method. At least a part of a portion of said implanting part which defines an outer surface thereof is formed with a metal material which contains Ti as a base material and 0.01 to 3 wt % of M (where M is at least one selected from the group comprising Ca, P and Si). Further, the implanting part preferably has a coating layer which covers the outer surface thereof, in which the M content (where M is at least one selected from the group comprising Ca, P and Si) in this coating layer is preferably greater than the M content in the at least a part of the portion of the implanting part. The implanting part and crown-fixing part may be formed into an integral body, or formed into separate bodies such that they are engaged with each other when used. The artificial dental implant having the structure described above is easy to manufacture and has good bio-affinity and high strength.
