Abstract

The present invention relates to a catalyst system based on monoazadiene metal complexes of the formula ##STR1## and a co-catalyst suitable for activating the metal complex, and to the use of the catalyst system for the polymerization of unsaturated compounds, especially for the polymerization and copolymerization of olefins and/or dienes. The novel catalyst system is characterised in particular by its ease of access, its lack of sensitivity to external influences and its ease of handling.
