Abstract

A hot-melt ink composition, which is solid at room temperature, comprises a wax having a melting point of about 50.degree. C. or above, a resin and a colorant. The resin has a softening point higher than the melting point of the wax in order to obtain a transparent image, or the resin has a softening point lower than the melting point of the wax in order to obtain an opaque image.
