Abstract
Fucans with low molecular weight having anticoagulant, antithrombinic and antithrombotic activity. Fucan sulfates having molecular weight between 14000 and 29000 Dalton show a remarkable anticoagulant activity both in the global coagulation mechanism (APTT) and in the last phase of coagulation (antithrombinic activity). These compounds are useful also as antithrombotic drugs.
