Abstract

This foundation material 1 comprises a substrate 2 having a sheet form, and a surface modifying layer on at least front surface of said substrate comprising 2.about.30 parts by weight of a film formation aiding agent for every 100 parts by weight of a resin having a hydrophilic functional group. In addition, this foundation material 1 is manufactured by forming substrate 2 by extrusion molding a synthetic resin, laminating at least a front surface of substrate 2 with a surface modifying agent comprising 2.about.30 parts by weight of a film formation aiding agent for every 100 parts by weight of a resin having a hydrophilic functional group, and drying the thus formed laminated substrate.
