Abstract
Described is a water-in-oil type cosmetic emulsion comprising (A) an amide compound having a melting point of 0 to 50.degree. C. and (B) a nonionic surfactant having an HLB smaller than 8. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention has excellent stability, can enhance the water-retaining ability of the stratum corneum and has excellent skin-roughness lessening effects.
