Abstract

A process is disclosed for the preparation of an imidazolone and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof having the formula ##STR1## wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and are C1 to C6 alkyl, C2 to C6 alkenyl, C1 to C6 cycloalkyl, aryl either unsubstituted or substituted with at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of C1 to C6 alkyl, C1 to C6 alkoxy and halo or heteroaryl either unsubstituted or substituted with C1 to C6 alkyl or halo;
