Abstract
Described is a back-side coating formulation for a heat-sensitive recording material. The coating formulation comprises, in a liquid medium, a reaction product obtained by reacting (a) a polysiloxane compound containing at least one functional group reactive with an isocyanate group, (b) a silane coupling agent containing at least one functional group selected from a functional group reactive with an isocyanate group or an isocyanate group, and (c) a polyisocyanate. The reaction product has been obtained by conducting the reaction under the condition of R>1 or R.ltoreq.1, R being an equivalent ratio of isocyanate group(s) to group(s) reactive with isocyanate group(s) (isocyanate group(s)/group(s) reactive with isocyanate group(s)) and in the case of R.ltoreq.1, the silane coupling agent contains at least one hydrolyzable group in addition to the reactive group.
