Abstract
An image heating apparatus has a heater for generating heat by energization, a heat member heated by the heater, a temperature detector for detecting a temperature of the heat member, and an energization control for controlling the energization of the heater in such a manner that the temperature detected by the temperature detector is maintained at a target temperature. When the temperature of the heat member is detected to reach a lowermost point during a contiuous copy operation, the energization control reduces power.
