Abstract
A cargo handling truck bed that includes a material handling device having a base and two longitudinally extending conveyors. Each of the conveyors includes a longitudinally extending belt having a first end and a second end. A first drum is rotatably secured to the base and secured to the first end of the belt. A second drum is rotatably secured to the base and secured to the second end of the belt. The first drum is longitudinally spaced apart from the second drum. A first drive arrangement for rotating the first drum and a second drive arrangement for rotating the second drum for winding the belts around the respective drums are provided. A control is provided for driving the respective first drums and second drums. A guide and guide track are provided to keep the belts in alignment. Polyethylene bearings are provided to engage with the drums and limit switches are provided for stopping winding of the belts around the drums.
