Abstract
The present invention relates to a powder, odor and moisture absorbing composition, which is safe for use on human skin comprising from about 0.1% to about 25%, by weight of the composition, of uncomplexed cyclodextrin; from about 5% to about 60%, by weight of the composition, of a highly effective moisture absorber; and a powder carrier. The compositions of the present invention may also contain an additional odor controlling agent selected from the group consisting of zeolites, activated charcoal, sodium bicarbonate, antimicrobial agents, and antiperspirants. The present invention also relates to methods of using the compositions of the present invention to reduce body odor and excess moisture on occluded skin sites.
