Abstract
Novel 2-substituted saccharins which inhibit the enzymatic activity of proteolytic enzymes, are useful in the treatment of degenerative diseases and have the formula ##STR1## wherein: L is --O--, --S--, --SO-- or --SO.sub.2 --;
