Abstract
Cyanoacrylate preparations for medical and surgical applications are sterilized by heating in a suitable container at a temperature of at least 160.degree. C. The preferred container is a squeezable aluminum tube and the preferred temperature is above 170.degree. C. Cyanoacrylate adhesive compositions sterilized by heat have improved shelf life compared to those sterilized by ionizing radiation.
