Abstract

The present invention is a transparent deodorant cosmetic stick product with at least 3.5% by weight of the formulation being an alkali metal bicarbonate. The product contains about 1.25% to about 6.5% of a polyamine as a mandatory clarifying component. Other required components of the formulation are a polyhydric alcohol, a C.sub.14-22 fatty acid salt, of a clarifier surfactant, and less than about 42% by weight water. Optional ingredients include antibacterial or bacteriostatic agents, a silicone copolyol, zinc pyridinethiol oxide, fragrance and color.
