Abstract

A color photographic silver halide material contains on a support at least one red-sensitive, cyan-coupling, at least one green-sensitive, magenta-coupling and at least one blue-sensitive, yellow-coupling silver halide emulsion layer together with interlayers between layers of different colour sensitivity, wherein at least one of the stated interlayers contains at least one masking coupler, the masking coupler having a reaction rate constant for the coupling reaction with the developer oxidation product of .gtoreq.5000 1-mol.sup.- .cndot.s.sup.-1, is distinguished improved sensitivity without increase of granularity.
