Abstract
Paperboard lids for containers comprising of a paperboard substrate, a coating of particulate minerals, a printed layer, and a radiation cured overprint varnish wherein the overprint varnish is mass stable and heat resistant above 325.degree. F. and does not distort or stick during platen heat sealing.
