Abstract

The invention relates to cosmetic or pharmaceutical preparations comprising pigments whose coloring depends on the viewing angle and comprising additives which are customary for cosmetic or pharmaceutical preparations, wherein the pigments comprise at least one oriented crosslinked substance having a liquid-crystalline structure with a chiral phase, are plateletlike in form and have a thickness of 1-20 .mu.m.
