Abstract

By selecting the number of apertures per vertical row in the shadow mask of a color cathode ray tube to be in the range between 615 and 650, such a cathode ray tube can be used both in a PAL, an NTSC system and a MUSE system without the occurrence of disturbing Moire effects. In a second embodiment the number of apertures per row ranges between 425 and 450.
