Abstract

Character data representative of characters of song data and style data are written in header portions of the song data and the style data. When the user selects the song data and the style data, these character data are read out and compared with each other. By the comparison, a correction algorithm for correcting either the song data or the style data is determined. Either the song data or the style data is modified to match the other based upon the correction algorithm, and both data are simultaneously performed in an automatic performance.
