Abstract
A cosmetic composition is provided which includes ferulic acid or its C.sub.1 -C.sub.30 alcohol esters and dimethyl isosorbide in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Dimethyl isosorbide enhances skin lightening, antioxidant and other skin activities of ferulic acid and its esters.
