Abstract
A brake pad has a support made of two metal sheets bonded together by a damping layer. The damping layer is formed exclusively from a crosslinked plastic adhesive in a thickness of about 75 .mu.m to 100 .mu.m, and is either a peroxide-crosslinked polyacrylate or a peroxide-crosslinked silicone adhesive.
