Abstract

A printed woodgrain pattern and a lustrous solid printed layer are formed by printing on the back surface of a transparent thermoplastic resin film to obtain a printed film. The printed film and a colored thermoplastic resin film are superposed, the printed film and the colored thermoplastic resin film are laminated to obtain a laminated structure and, at the same time, the laminated structure is embossed from the side of the colored thermoplastic resin film by a doubling embossing method with an embossing die provided with an embossing pattern of ridges and furrows to obtain a decorative sheet. In the decorative sheet, a second and a third embossed pattern each having a cross section having a smooth outline expressed by a periodic function or a pseudoperiodic function are formed in the interfaces between the colored thermoplastic resin film and the lustrous printed layer and between the lustrous printed layer and the transparent thermoplastic resin film, respectively.
